1. Introduction

Cav League (“we,” “our,” or “the app”) is a mobile app for managing a basketball league: game day invites, rosters, leaderboards, game results, and tournaments. This privacy policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

2. Information we collect

• Account information: When you sign up, we collect your email address and password (stored securely via Firebase Authentication).
• Profile information: You may provide your name, and optionally height, weight, and birthday. This is used to display your profile and stats within the league.
• Game and league data: Results of games you play, your RSVPs and “I’m Awake” responses, and tournament placements are stored and shown to other league members and admins.
• Push notification token: So we can send you game day invites and wake-check reminders, the app stores a device push token (e.g. via Expo Push Notifications).
• Feedback: If you send feedback from your profile, we store that message and associate it with your account so admins can read and manage it.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to run the league: to show rosters and game day details, to send invites and reminders, to calculate and display leaderboards and stats, to show tournament history and reigning champs, and to let admins manage games and read feedback. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Where your data is stored

Data is stored using Google Firebase (Authentication and Firestore). Push notifications are delivered via Expo’s push service. These providers process data in accordance with their own privacy policies and applicable law.

5. Who can see your information

Other league members and league administrators can see your name, profile details you provide, and your game-related activity (e.g. wins, losses, RSVPs) as part of normal league use. Admins can also see and delete feedback you submit.

6. Your choices

You can update or correct your profile information in the app. You can opt out of push notifications in your device settings (you may then miss invites and reminders). To request deletion of your account or data, contact the league administrator.

7. Security

We use industry-standard authentication and secure connections. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will be revised when we do. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
